Course description
The main objective is to give the participants an understanding of the basic principles of the periparturient metabolism in dairy cows. The course will give insight into various aspects such as prepartum nutrition, metabolic adaptations and nutritional management during the transition period, splanchnic metabolism and macro-mineral metabolism. The course consists of a mixture of lectures and workshops.
